Giving Season Recap
As we reach the midpoint of our League year and the season of service, we want to take a moment to reflect on the dedication and effort our volunteers have demonstrated thus far. We are proud to acknowledge the countless hours our members have invested and the positive impact you have made in our community. We are deeply grateful to all our members—thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm; it truly makes a difference!
Regarding our organization's service efforts, the Done in a Day Committee has been diligently coordinating, planning, and managing various community service projects and activities. So far this year, the Junior League of Seattle has offered 23 community service opportunities and 9 in-league service shifts, totaling over 500 direct hours of service, with more initiatives planned before the year ends. Overall, our volunteers have contributed nearly 3,000 service hours to the Junior League of Seattle, and we are truly impressed by the dedication of our members.
The Training Committee has also been quite active as part of the Training Collaborative, collaborating with other Junior Leagues across the country to provide a diverse range of training sessions and access to resources that are typically unavailable. To date, they have conducted 6 training sessions with over 150 JLS members in attendance, along with participants from other Junior Leagues, all aimed at enhancing their knowledge.
Additionally, we are pleased to report that the Member Connections Committee has organized 20 member connection events, which include a variety of activities such as book clubs, Mom & Me events, and trivia nights. Our most popular events thus far have been the recurring book club, the Pioneer Square Art Walk, and the Pure Barre classes. Similarly, our Sustainers have been active with 13 exclusive events, attracting over 200 attendees. Some highlights from this year's events include the annual Sustainer Cocktail Party and the inaugural Fall Fête Fundraiser, both of which had at least 100 attendees and created memorable experiences.
This giving season, the Junior League of Seattle would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our members: Provisional, Active, and Sustainer! Your support is vital to our mission, and without you, the important work we do in the community would not be possible. As a volunteer organization, we can only create a positive impact with the help of dedicated and capable members like you who work tirelessly to help us achieve our goals.
We are sincerely thankful for each of you and hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
