December 2024 Recap
Happy Holidays from the Junior League of Seattle! As the year comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our members, donors, and the extended community who make our mission possible.
This December has been a time of reflection and renewal for our organization. We are grateful for the energy and sense of purpose that this month has brought us.
Our members have been actively engaged in community service, with eight shifts created to connect and support our local community. Some of the highlights included gift wrapping for The Forgotten Children's Fund, working at the NW Harvest Sodo Community Market, writing letters to troops in collaboration with Operation Gratitude, and serving with Ronald McDonald House Charities. We are incredibly proud of our members and their commitment to making a positive impact in Seattle.
In addition to our service efforts, we had a series of successful fundraising events this month. The League raised funds through initiatives like Minted and ShopRaise. These opportunities not only support our organization but also demonstrate our members' dedication to creating lasting change in our community.
On a lighter note, the Junior League of Seattle celebrated the December General Membership Meeting on the Eastside, where we made an exciting announcement about the incoming PEN and EVPE positions for the 2025-26 League year. The Nominating Team worked diligently to nominate two outstanding members of the JLS as the incoming leaders of our organization. Congratulations to Rebecca Dolan and Ngoc Do on their nominations!
As we approach the end of the calendar year and the midpoint of the League year, we are thrilled with all we have accomplished in the past six months and look forward to the remainder of the 2024-25 League year.
