Touch-A-Truck 2026 Recap: A Day of Hands-On Learning, Exploration, and Community Connection

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the Junior League of Seattle hosted its annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser, a family-friendly Seattle event that brought together families, volunteers, and community partners for a day of hands-on learning, exploration, and fun. Designed as an interactive and educational experience for children, Touch-A-Truck gave kids the opportunity to get up close with a wide variety of vehicles and meet the professionals who protect, serve, build, and support the Seattle community. From climbing into the driver’s seat to asking questions and learning how the equipment works, children engaged directly with the tools and people behind these essential roles.

A standout feature of this popular Seattle kids event was the sensory-friendly quiet hour from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, when horns and sirens were turned off to create a calmer, more inclusive environment for families and children with a range of sensory needs.

Through the enthusiasm of attendees and the support of volunteers and community partners, Touch-A-Truck 2026 was a tremendous success, raising over $25,000 to support the Junior League of Seattle’s community programs and leadership development initiatives. Events like Touch-A-Truck not only provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities for children, but also strengthen community connections across Seattle. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this impactful community event possible!
