2023 RECIPIENT—KORYNNE WRIGHT
The Junior League of Seattle is pleased to announce that Korynne Wright has been selected as the 2023-2024 recipient of its prestigious Dorothy Stimson Bullitt Community Service Award. This annual JLS award honors a member who has made significant community contributions through exemplary, sustained volunteer service.
Recognized by her peers as a humble, thoughtful, and dedicated community leader, Korynne has an extensive history of impactful involvement in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. She has been instrumental in supporting and raising funds for nearly every large campaign in Seattle, including as Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign for Marion Oliver McCaw Hall and as the Immediate Past Chair of the UW Foundation. Beyond fundraising, Korynne has been involved in transformational community projects, including serving on the search committee for the Director of Seattle Center and the growth of Washington State’s 10-99 Foundation, providing financial support to families of officers killed in the line of duty.
A Junior League of Seattle member since the 1980s, Korynne has over three decades of volunteer service to organizations and committees focused on improving children and young adults' lives through education. She continues to advocate for Islandwood and YWCA, after serving on their board for seven years. Korynne currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Save the Children, where she also works on the organization’s Eastern Washington Project to bring family home visits and early child education programs to the most rural underserved communities in the lower Yakima Valley.
